Finnegan BEGGED me to let him wear his underwear after he peed on the potty this am. I didn't want to, but figured he had just peed, I easily had 30+ minutes of safe time. So I put him in his underwear (that is ENORMOUS on him - its really hard to find tiny underwear that isn't licensed characters - these are the XS from The Children's Place, and the equivalent of a size 4. Kid wears a 2T on a fat day), and asked him every 3 minutes if he had to go potty. Lots of no's, lots of walking around holding onto his manhood. Just about 20 minutes into the adventure I look over and there is a beautiful pee spot. On my couch. I don't even know how to clean that! We have hardwood (laminate) floors. I swiffer everything. You can't swiffer pee off the couch. I'm not listening to the begging next time. I'll wrestle him into a diaper from the get go. On an unrelated Finn side note, I bought him his Halloween costume. He will be a Garden Gnome, LOL. I have to take full advantage of what is likely my last year picking his costume. Although I will have a newbie to pick for next year :) Speaking of, the newbie is fine, my morning sickness is fading (NOT gone, but a little better), and I didn't have to wake up to pee last night!! Nothing exciting to report in the pregnancy department, other than my belly button is getting shallower already, which is creepy, but expected.
I leave tonight for a trip to TN with 21 other photographers, and I am beyond excited. Girl time. No husband. No baby. I'm not thrilled at the idea of the drive, but oh well, I'll live! Be back next week with lots of fun pics!
