Potty Training
So like any good mother, I've refused to potty train Finn. For many reasons, fear of regression with Atticus in the house, fear of acting out because we moved and peeing on everything, and above all else, fear of the time commitment and my child's ability to play 'the game'. I will not use bribes, charts or stickers. I have always said I'd wait until he was ready. Well, I ignored every sign of ready for the last 2 months. And then Wednesday happened. And my almost 3 year old informed me, and I quote, "Mommy, I don't like when you wipe my penis that way, wipe it the other way". Guess what kid, if you're able to make those kinds of demands, you're able to do it yourself. So I decided to go for the three day naked method. I leave him naked for three days, he either gets it totally, or isn't ready and back to diapers to try again later. Yesterday was day 1. And I'm proud to say a total success. No accidents, lots of peeing in the potty. So far, day 2 is going well, he was eating breakfast an all of a sudden told me he needed a paper towel. I asked why and he said peepee. I looked on his chair and there were only 6 or 7 drops, so I asked if he had more, he said yes, and we ran to the potty and he finished. Honestly his ability to stop it and tell me he had to go more is HUGE IMO. He still has not pooped in the potty. That's going to be the big test. Fingers crossed though, this is all going incredibly well so far!!!

Good luck! Emerson started potty training about a month ago. We don't do rewards. Although sometimes I do a cheer. Ha!
