3 years

I'm just going to ignore the fact that my baby is 3, talks (and talks back) like a big kid, and is so independent it's scary. He had his 3 year check up today, which was also his first 'big kid' style checkup, including not having to sit around in his underwear (or diaper as it was prior to todays visit), blood pressure check, and yelling at the nurse who gave him a shot by telling her 'the medicine hurt me and I don't like it', LOL. Here are his stats

29lbs, 36.75 inches, and I didn't write down his head size. Pretty much holding strong in the 25-30th percentile range he was in last year. It looks like I failed to make a 2 year blog post, but I remember he was right around 30th then, and the ped wasn't concerned today, so I'm sticking with it.

Today was also the first day of swimming lessons. Have I mentioned my child is overdramatic? Yeah... I'll never know where that came from... The first part of class went wonderfully, he listened, and did really well. Well the second half of class they have the kids kick (with floaties on their backs) and run them up and down the pool lanes. Guess who lost his freaking mind? Everytime the teacher would let go of his hands, he would SCREAM 'SAVE ME!'. Good lord. LOL. Thankfully, there are an unholy number of kids taking lessons at the same time, so his screaming was muffled by the kids who were totally melting down. Those college kids/swim coaches who do this are saint like to get up early and deal with neurotic toddlers (can I still call him a toddler??). I think letting someone else deal with Finns crazy is totally worth my $150. If the rest of the two weeks goes anything like today, I'd pay double.

Second from the right

While things were still goodHe's no longer very pleased with the situation at this point
