Summer

Today I got a phone call demanding more updates... Ok, well, technically the call demanded more updates on the quote blog, but despite a raging smart assed 3 year old, I've got nothing. I'll try and get into the habit of writing them down as they happen. But onto this blog. So summer is over, and I had very few legitimate updates. My bad. Finn took swimming lessons, learned to push every button I've got, and at the same time became incredibly charming and sweet. He likes to color, draw and write more than anything. He's painfully short tempered, and if anything goes wrong, even the tiniest, smallest of things, he loses it and yells 'I outta here!' and storms off. This includes self caused problems, like coloring outside the lines, or the inability to draw an elephant... He calls everyone sir, me included, and says sorry a lot. 95% of those sorrys are when I ask him to do something, and he says 'Sorry mom, I outta hands', which is the typical response to my demanding help while cleaning up. Finn has also started soccer, which so far, he ADORES. I figured it would be hit or miss with the two most unathletic parents ever, but shockingly, he loves it, and for 3, doesn't suck at it. He also listens to the coach which is HUGE.

Atticus is now 5.5 months and just a doll. He has got to be the most laid back baby in the free world. Like I mentioned last post, he cut two teeth, which is an entire 4 months sooner than Finnegan. He has developed some shittastic nap habits, he's in that 45 minute nap phase, but without fail, despite teething, and a nasty cold he inherited from Finn he sleeps through the night. Every single night. Thank you universe for that one, I was expecting another no-sleeper like Finn. I should probably keep my mouth shut though, we are weaning from the swaddle, finally, and hes done ok without it at naps, but this is the first night without it. He is sleeping on his belly which does give me only minor heart palpitations, but I rigged the bumpers so they are below the mattress, kind of like a crib skirt, so I'm trying not to be too neurotic. Lastly, I moved him to the convertible car seat today. I just don't have the arm strength to lug around that damn infant carrier any more! So if you even read this far, I will now apologize for the photo bomb. I realize that for some friends/family, this is the primary source of info/photos, so here you are! Enjoy :) (sorry they're out of order)

Finn's temper sounds very similar to Emerson's! I love the pictures of the two of them. :)
